As scientists and academics, I think all of us are more keenly aware than ever how crucial the exchange of ideas and research findings on an international level has become not just for our own work, but also for the reputation and future of the university we are proud to be part of.
In recent years one of our main challenges has been to significantly expand our current network of exchange agreements with universities and research institutions abroad. As Vice President and Dean of Research I am giving the highest priority to initiatives that can help us conclude active new research ties with other universities.
In the following guidelines I briefly set out what we are aiming for in terms of framework, commitment, scope and relevance. On our web site you can find the Model Framework for Academic Collaboration that serves as the format we prefer to use together with a complete listing of all agreements currently on record.
